Zoë A. Lewis, M.D., DAAHPM, FACP received her medical doctorate summa cum laude from the University Of Rome School of Medicine, ‘La Sapienza’, Rome, Italy. She completed her internal medicine residency training in the University of Pennsylvania Healthcare System, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is a diplomat of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, (DAAHPM) and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians, (FACP).
Dr. Lewis has worked with numerous hospices in Miami, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts. She is the former Corporate Medical Director for Beacon Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. in New England and received specific acknowledgement for her leadership efforts by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in their 2006 guide, 'Caring for Persons with Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias, Guidelines for Hospice Providers'.
As an internist in Boston, she provided primary care at Brigham and Women’s Physician Group and for patients in the Caritas Christi Healthcare System. She held academic teaching positions at University of Pennsylvania, Tufts University Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard School of Medicine. Active in both physician and community education on issues of end-of-life care and general medicine, she has regularly presented medical grand rounds in New England, South Florida, and nationally for hospice and end-of-life care conferences. She has numerous publications to her credit. She currently works as a hospitalist in Massachusetts and Florida and as a consultant for hospice programs. She produces and hosts the radio program Hope Through Knowledge Radio on Blogtalkradio. She was a featured speaker discussing her books and work on dementia using art and music therapy for dementia caregiving at the Aging in America Conference, sponsored by The American Society on Aging and the National Council on Aging 2009.

Elizabeth Cockey, M.A.T is a Baltimore based art therapist and consultant to healthcare facilities about the utilization of art programs for recovery. Elizabeth has worked with Alzheimer’s and stroke dementia clients for the past 15 years. She holds degrees in art, psychology, and a master’s degree in art therapy. Elizabeth is also an artist, a motivational speaker and the author of Drawn from Memory: A Personal Story of Healing through Art. Suzanne B. Hanser, EdD, MT-BC is Chair of the Music Therapy Department at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts. She is Past President of the World Federation Music Therapy Association and the American Music Therapy Association. She is currently a Research Associate and Music Therapist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. She has more than 200 scientific publications and three published books including The NewMusic Therapist's Handbook, in its third edition and When You Wish upon a Star. She is an internationally recognized speaker at psychiatry, psychology, education, music, gerontology and special education conferences. Her past academic responsibilities are numerous and include positions as the former professor and chair of music therapy at the University of the Pacific,and past program director of the Alzheimer’s Association greater San Francisco Bay area. She has received numerous research grants and a National Service Award from the National Institute on Aging. Her work has been covered on local and national television programs and other forms of media coverage therapist that he or she can be totally with the client and tuned in to what he or she needs at the moment, totally empathizing and understanding not only what the person's saying, but what they're feeling.”

Myron Weiner, M.D. is a geriatric psychiatrist whose primary interest is in managing the emotional and behavioral symptoms of dementing illness. Dr. Weiner is Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas, where he formerly headed the Geriatric Psychiatry Residency Program and Clinical Core of the UT Southwestern Alzheimer's Disease Center. He holds the Aradine S. Ard Chair in Brain Science and the Dorothy L. and John P. Harbin Chair in Alzheimer's Disease Research. He has more than 200 scientific publications to his credit, including the third edition of The Dementias: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Research, published by American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc. in 2003. He is senior editor of the American Psychiatric Publishing, Textbook of Alzheimer Disease and Other Dementias, which will appear in the fall of 2008. His primary research is in treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and its behavioral/psychological consequences, including impact on caregivers. His exploration of the impact of cardiovascular risk factors in the development of Alzheimer’s disease in American Indians led him to establish a telemedicine link for dementia evaluation and follow up with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Dr. Weiner has received the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians Psychiatric Excellence Award, is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and the Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Award for America's Top Doctors. Dr. Weiner and colleagues developed the Quality of Life in Late-stage Alzheimer's Disease (QUALID) scale, now used around the world in studies of interventions for late-stage Alzheimer disease patients. He also was a developer of the Test of Everyday Functional Abilities (TEFA), an ecologically valid scale for use in determining level of competence at activities of daily living. http://www.utsouthwestern.edu
Patricia Munhall, EdD, NCPsyA, CHt, ARNP, has twenty-three years practicing psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She is the founder and director of the International Institute of Human Understanding. Her special clinical interests span a wide range of clients and she has facilitated quality of life and emotional growth and personality integration for a diverse client population in addition to many other areas of interest and clinical specialization. She has been a former Professor of Nursing for thirty years at various universities, including Hunter College, CUNY, Teachers College and Columbia University. Dr. Munhall has authored 11 books and over 60 articles. She writes of the experiential nature of man, woman and family in the 21st century. Kino MacGregor, M.A. is the founder of Miami Life Center, an urban retreat space dedicated to the study of yoga, holistic health and consciousness. Fanny Barry, M.S. is a writer, artist, and breast cancer survivor. She has a Master of Science in Communications and Public Relations, and a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering, both from Boston University. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, she completed treatment for breast cancer in 2004. During her treatment and into recuperation she kept journals of her experience which became the basis for her illustrated book series: I Wish I Knew; I Wish I Knew How to Help, and I Wish I Knew Who I Have Become. These books represent her personal observations on how her life and the lives of those closest to her changed while undergoing treatment for cancer. Cancer left her with a great desire to share her insights with other patients and survivors to help them cope emotionally. Debbi Dickinson, B.A. has a B.A. degree in Psychology from Westfield State College, Westfield, Massachusetts. She holds numerous advanced certifications and completed the Bereavement Specialist Skills Training and Certification Program by the American Hospice Foundation and World Pastoral Care Center. Debbi's work has appeared in over 400 publications. She is the author of HeartSongs and Whispers in the Wind.
